On 5/26, D1 entered the store attached to the Walmart gas station. D1 reached over the counter, crossing the threshold into the employee-only area and stole multiple lottery tickets before fleeing the area.

D1 was tentatively identified with the assistance of VC3 and the Walmart Loss Prevention officer. A photo lineup was generated and presented to the cashier working at the time of incident, which confirmed D1's identity.

D1 is currently in custody at the VCBJ on unrelated crimes. Post-Miranda, D1 admitted to being at the Walmart and stealing the lottery tickets. D1 was arrested for burglary and petit theft.

The District 2 Crime Suppression Team conducted surveillance and investigated a wanted subject for domestic violence, along with proactive traffic enforcement, resulting in the recovery of cocaine, a stolen license plate and methamphetamine.

Lake Helen PD had a crash occur in city limits. The crash was a single-vehicle crash where the occupant had to be airlifted to the hospital due to major head injury. LHPD requested agency assistance for a possible THI. Traffic sergeant was notified; THI team responded and took over scene.

D-1 and his wife's 15-year-old juvenile daughter, V-1, got into a verbal argument that turned physical when D-1 pushed V-1 and then spit at her. D-1's wife, V-2, intervened, at which point D-1 forcibly grabbed a hold of V-2. Deputies were able to establish probable cause and placed D-1 under arrest. Director Quann was notified of the incident. DCF was forwarded a copy of the reports as well. ***CBA***

Deputies responded to the 200 block of Ninemile Point Rd, Pierson in reference to a road obstruction. Upon arrival, deputies located a large pile of illegally dumped HVAC debris in the middle of the roadway. Deputies collected the pile and took it to get weighted which yielded it was over 800 pounds. V1 heard shooting last night but didn't think anything of it due to it being common in the area. Today, V1 discovered multiple bullet holes in his horse trailer, detached mother-in-law suite, and detached office building. The bullet holes are chest level and above. Neither building was occupied at the time. No person or animal was injured. Contact was made with S1 who claims he and S2 were in his backyard drinking and S2 was shooting an AR-15 at the fire pit. S1 was reluctant to give S2's information at first but eventually cooperated. Watch Commander and CID were notified. CID did not respond. The firearms used and casings were collected from S1 and submitted into evidence. Case is active.
