How to get Martian Saucer to spawn? ›

The Martian Saucer is a large flying Hardmode, post-Golem mini-boss that spawns during the Martian Madness event. It can only spawn if the Martian Madness event is 30% completed or higher, and it can move through blocks.

When a Martian Saucer appears, it will cycle through three attacks: shoot rapid lasers to the side, shoot homing rockets, and shoot a downward laser. For the first attack, stay above the saucer. As it releases the homing rockets, circle down and underneath it, coming up on the other side and dodging the rockets.

Martian Probes spawn more frequently in the Space layer. Effects that increase enemy spawn rates, such as Water Candles and Battle Potions, as well as events like a Blood Moon or Solar Eclipse, will give the Martian Probe more chances to spawn. The probe can also spawn during these events.

A Martian Probe will not spawn if the Lunar Events are active, or if a Martian Madness event is already started, or if another Martian Probe exists. After exiting a world during a Martian Madness event, the screen in the main menu will still have UFOs flying around in the background.

When the player is above surface, there is one attempt with 1/100 spawn chance before Martian Madness and 1/400 after; when the player is in Space, there is another attempt, if Water Candle is active there will be a third attempt. See the following note for these attempts' spawn chance.

There is no item to summon the martian madness event, but after you defeat the golem, a floating drone will appear in your world acationally, it will have a green dome and sway a little bit, if you get near it the martian madness event will be triggered shortly after.

It can only be triggered after Golem has been defeated. Martian Madness is triggered by a Martian Probe, which spawns randomly in the two outer lateral thirds of the map (with a higher spawn chance in the Space layer). When this small flying enemy detects a player or is attacked, it immediately attempts to fly away.

Combine 20 Solar Fragments, 20 Nebula Fragments, 20 Vortex Fragments, and 20 Stardust Fragments at an Ancient Manipulator to create the Sigil, then activate it to summon the Moon Lord.

Spawning. Martian Probes will typically not spawn within the inner two-thirds of the map. This makes the Space layer and the Ocean biome the ideal locations for trying to find them. For faster results, Battle Potions and a Water Candle can be used.

The Cosmic Car Key is a Hardmode mount-summoning item. When used, it summons a rideable UFO that allows the player to fly and hover indefinitely. It has 1/6 (16.67%) / 1/9 (11.11%) chance to be dropped by the Martian Saucer mini-boss during the Martian Madness event.

How do you spawn the lunatic cultist? ›

The Lunatic Cultist can be spawned at any point in Hardmode through the use of an Eidolon Tablet or by killing the Cultists at the Dungeon after Golem is defeated.

The alien invasion, also known as the Martian Madness event can be started by going to the outer area of your world, like the ocean, and waiting for a Martian Probe to spawn, and detect you (indicated by a red light) and leave. The event will then start immediately.
