Dear David and family,This is very sad news indeed. Please accept my deepest condolences.I have only the best of memories of Auntie Joyce. And it was so nice to have her look out for me when I lived in Montreal. Auntie Joyce introduced me to several of my close friends there, and with whom I am also still in close and regular contact.Auntie had such an attractive personality combined with a very classy demeanor. She and Alan were such an interesting and influential couple in Montreal. It was as highlight to have dinner with them.David

Joyce was a beautiful lady. We met through her husband Alan, at Canadian Jewish Congress. At its infancy, as a Founder of the 35s, we had little support in Montreal. However Alan and his quiet, but wise and strong wife Joyce were 2 of the earliest and most stalwart supporters of the Women's Campaign for Soviet Jewry. I will always remember Joyce with warmth, admiration and above all reverence for who she was as a friend to the 35s and to me. Rest in Peace dear lady. Elaine

So many years ago I was on staff of Canadian Jewish Congress as National Director of the Soviet Jewry Committee. In this capacity I had the honour of working closely wih Alan Z"L. So many of his conversations after a weekend were started with.."And Joyce said...". Truly a beautiful love story. I am sending my condolences on the life of a wonderful woman.

Very sad to read this. Visiting Joyce and Alan's home was a highlight of my youth. Both were so welcoming and always so pleasant. A beautiful, poised and intelligent person, with whom it was always such a pleasure to be together with. She will be missed.

Joyce was a cherished member of our extended family. She and Alan came for Rosh Hashanah and Seder for 40 years. Joyce was a gifted, accomplished artist. She worked in enamel on copper, textiles( her roosters), metal( her fish) and her style of dress was always artistic. She was very close to her family in England and to Alan’s sister, Hazel, in Israel. We join in expressing our condolences to all who loved Joyce.
