Uses gauges and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and mechanic hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components

Manage and maintain instrument calibration documentation and CMMS database

Maintain computers and software packages relevant to the design, modification, installation and calibration of electrical and instrumentation systems

Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of instrument application, operation and of the electrical and mechanical principles involved in repair, testing and calibration

Maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation devices, electrical power distribution and monitoring devices, VFD drives and motor control

Performs preventive and predictive maintenance including calibration, using data collectors, testing and diagnostic tools, and computerized maintenance management systems

Investigate equipment failures, determine root cause of failure

Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns

Assist in the development and ongoing improvement of the plant mechanical integrity program

Must be familiar with VFD structure and be able to determine causes of failure and be able to repair (prefer AB experience)

Ability to configure, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation

Must be able to work long hours (10-14) on a regular basis

Must be able to work in extreme climates (high / low temperatures and humidity)

Ability to climb stairs, ladders and walk long distances during the course of the work day

Able to move and handle heavy objects with appropriate equipment

Installs, services, and repairs process equipment components (valves, pumps, piping systems, actuators, filtration systems, pressure relief devices, ) consistent with chemical industry

Responsibilities for electrical & instrumentation technician

• Coordinate with the production and other departments for feedback on the functionality of machinery and equipment's to help resolve equipment problems

• Working knowledge of Programmable Electronic Systems (DCS, PLC), and the HMI's that support these
