there are several bread related snacks, especially in the indian street food cuisine palette. but out all these snacks, simple aloo stuffed bread pakora recipe is the queen of all bread related snacks recipes. having said that there are several variations to this street food snack. the most common recipe is to prepare it in a triangular shape with aloo or potato stuffing. but it is also prepared without any stuffing with a simple spiced gram flour coating. i personally like the stuffed one compared to the later and i have shared the same recipe too. moreover, the other popular variation is to prepare it very similar to onion pakora. basically, the bread slices are crumbled in a besan mixture and later deep fried in small dumpling shapes.
furthermore some important tips, variations and recommendations for bread pakora recipe. firstly, i would recommend using normal white sandwich bread slices for this recipe. wholemeal or multi-grain bread slices would also work but white bread is more preferred. secondly, the stuffing can be easily extended with the mixture of other vegetables apart from just potatoes. you can add veggies like carrots, cauliflower, peas and even beans and mix them together as veggie stuffing. lastly, deep fry these triangularly shaped bread’s immediately after soaking in besan batter. also avoid soaking it on repeated intervals otherwise it may turn soggy.
