Party favors are often given at Christmas or birthday gatherings. There are lots of different items that can be given, but usually, a little something to say thank you for coming.
What makes a party favor junk?
Here are a few examples of things that can make a party favor junk:
- Easily breakable toys
- Candy that is tasteless
- Candy that has a weird texture
- Items that have no use
These are just a few examples of items that will quickly get tossed.
What makes a good party favor?
This is a bit of a loaded question, because everyone’s perception of this is different.
I like to choose quality items to give out as party favors.
I like to choose items that are well loved by children, and parents. If I am choosing candy, I err on the side of caution and choose organic candies or goodies.
I like to choose items that are unique and durable. I also like to match the theme to the party with my party favors.
Give up the goodie bags
I won’t tell you that goodie bags are the worst things, however I will say that goodie bags can be tricky. I say that because you are spending money on a lot of little items that are junky.
If you do one party favor that is a bit more expensive, but better quality, I think it will be worth it.
Goodie bags are also a pain to put together, especially if you have quite a few to do!
